Discounts

Can I get a discount if I buy more than one product?

Yes! (Whoop whoop!)

We understand that some of our customer may be interested in a combination of different products or licences. If you have your eye on a particular selection of products please let us know and we’ll arrange a discounted pricing structure for you.

Additionally if you’d like to begin by purchasing a few specific elements we can arrange a discounted upgrade pricing should you choose to purchase additional products at a later stage.

Do you offer discounted upgrade pricing?

Yes, we do! We’re continually developing our collection in order to offer leading solutions. We also love to reward customers that have purchased from us in the past. If you’ve purchased any anatomy models from us in the past please email us to find out more about discounts on future upgrades or additional models and licenses.

Do you offer educational discounts?

Yes,  we do offer a reduced pricing for educational institutions.

We consider each application on it’s own unique circumstances in order to offer a solution that best suits those who wish to make use of our 3D anatomy resources. If you’d like to find out more about integrating our collection within an educational setting please email us with the particulars of your institution and details of how you’re hoping to include our 3D anatomy content. Guarantee

Will your 3D models work correctly in my software?

The answer to this depends on which software you work in:

Yes
, if you use one of the following packages

• Autodesk 3ds Max (.max) 2011 and up
• Autodesk Maya (.ma) 2011 and up
• Autodesk Softimage (.xsi, .emdl) 2011 and up
• Maxon Cinema4D (.c4d) 11.5 and up
• Newtek Lightwave (.lwo) 9.5 and up

Maybe if you plan to use one of the following file formats:

OBJ, FBX, 3DS, DXF, LXO, DAE, BLEND, X

The reason for this is that we test and check all our models thoroughly, however many formats react differently when imported into different packages. We are confident that our models will integrate seamlessly into the 5 leading packages, and while we also test other popular formats we cannot guarantee that the others will work in all software environments. If you’d like to be sure please down load one of our samples models to test for functionality.

Are your models medically accurate?

We invest massive amounts of time researching and verifying the accuracy of the work we create, how ever as any medical professional will know, the human body has a tendency to vary greatly from person to person which can make it difficult to “guarantee” medical accuracy in all circumstances.

What can promise you is that all of the anatomical models we create have been created using a variety of quality resources, from original high resolution 3D scans and photographs of human remains to medical literature used by leading tertiary training institutions. We manage our production process in a highly organised and ethical manner preserving the integrity of the data through to the end result.  As part of our production process the 3D models we create are scrutinized by doctors that are active specialists in the field of anatomy and so we feel confident that they stand up to the highest academic standards.

Having said this, we are always striving to improve and so we invite feedback from anyone who may have suggestions.

Is there any fine print we should know about?

“The large print giveth…

and the small print taketh away.” -Tom Waits 1976

We’re not a fan of fine print. We do our best to say it like it is. That way everyone knows where they stand.

For this reason we’ve tried to keep our license terms as simple and understandable as possible, while still maintaining a responsible level of legal protection for us and our customers. Questions of copyright and distribution can be tricky, so if there’s something you’re not sure about then it’s always best to get in touch and we’ll clarify any confusion there may be.

What guarantees do you offer?

100% GUARANTEE

We spend a great deal of time preparing our anatomy content before publishing anything. Creating a new standard in digital anatomical resources has been our driving force since the start. For this reason we feel confident that our products will live up to the highest expectations. At the end of the day it’s really important to us that our clients see value in the products they purchase. If you feel as though we’re not living up to the high standards we claim on our website we’ll first try to resolve any issues you may have, and if still not satisfied we’ll refund your order 100%.

Here are a few of the areas we go above and beyond to guarantee:

MEDICAL ACCURACY

The integrity of our work is evident in the extremely high levels of accuracy that we strive for through out the production process. We pride ourselves in the fact that we invest thousands of man hours in carefully gathering accurate data from a variety of ethical sources such as original 3D scans of human remains in order to create anatomical models that are true to real life examples. Each human body is by nature unique, and occasionally we have been advised to omit small anomalies that may occur in a particular source specimen in order to maintain a typical representation of standard human anatomy, however in these instances all “adjustments” are properly documented and included as part of the product info sheet that accompanies each model.

ANATOMICAL LAYOUT

Additionally every single element in our anatomy collection is correctly named by it’s medical term and laid out in a structured way based on the Terminologia Anatomica.

TECHNICAL FUNCTIONALITY

We understand that many of our clients may not be technically proficient when it comes to working with 3D data in the form of models. While we focus heavily on the medical integrity of our work while we gather and process anatomical data, we also spend a great deal of time optimizing the refined 3D models for use within specific software environments.  There are three key areas that we cater for:

3D Models designed for Animation and Illustration Rendering

We have focused on 5 leading animation packages (Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Softimage, Lightwave & Cinema4D) and are able guarantee that models in this category will load and render perfectly in each of these leading programs, with all textures and shaders in place and functioning correctly. Although we also offer other generic file formats such as OBJ, we are unable to 100% guarantee their functionality as this tends to vary from program to program.

3D Models designed for real time user interaction

The models in the category have been specifically designed for real time application. While we have taken the time to ensure that polygonal meshes are optimized with small counts and textures have been compressed to lower resolutions, the functionality of these models relies heavily on the coding of the viewer or game engine that will house the data. We guarantee that the content has been optimized to take up minimum amounts of memory, but we are unable to guarantee performance in specific environments as this is out of our hands.

3D Models designed for 3D printing and CAD applications

We are one of the only companies that is able to guarantee that our solid 3D models will print correctly. The reason for this is because test every single model we sell by printing it in real life before publishing it. This can be seen in the model preview pictures. For this reason we confidently guarantee that the models we have available in this category will print correctly.

Products

Can I get a discount if I buy more than one product?

Yes! (Whoop whoop!)

We understand that some of our customer may be interested in a combination of different products or licences. If you have your eye on a particular selection of products please let us know and we’ll arrange a discounted pricing structure for you.

Additionally if you’d like to begin by purchasing a few specific elements we can arrange a discounted upgrade pricing should you choose to purchase additional products at a later stage.

Can I download a sample 3D model?

Yes, we encourage users to download sample 3D models before purchasing so that they know exactly what can be expected in terms of technical capabilities. If you’d like to find our more, please send us an email as we’ll arrange a sample file for you.

Why are your anatomy models not available in the standard anatomical pose?

Traditional medical illustration standards dictate that the human anatomy should be presented according to a standardized anatomical position with arms at the side and palms facing forward, thumbs on the outside.

Although we are aware of, and respect this practice, our models have been built primarily for animation purposes. When setting up characters within 3D animation software it is desirable to adopt the “default rigging pose”. By building our 3D models in this default pose the rigging process will be much more simple and flexible to accommodate for a wider variety of movement later on (including the the standard anatomical pose).
